Welcome to our new members and Welcome back to our returnees. I hope that you all weathered Irene and came though unscathed and are ready for the Fall. Fall Programming for the Miracle League begins on Saturday September 10 with expanded opportunities for all. If you have not already signed up please do so at your earliest convenience so that we may plan accordingly.
Many of you have e-mailed me about the schedule. Please refer to the block below for the Fall schedule. We do not hold opening day ceremonies in the Fall however our awards barbecue for all players and buddies from the 2011 year is held in the Fall.

This years awards barbecue will be held on Sunday October 16 and will begin immediately following the Spectrum program at 11:30.  

There will be no other programs that day. I hope that you will all plan on attending. More information to follow later this month!

Please come out and enjoy what some claim is the best season in New York and cheer on all of these wonderful athletes. 

Sadly this season has come to an end! This year we registered over 250 young players and close to 500 adults whose combined use kept the field active 7 days a week from April through October. Thanks go out to the many buddies from the childrens programs who volunteered their time to make the season that much more enjoyable for our children.

In answer to many requests the Miracle League is planning on running summer programming for any special needs young person. To make it more fun we are expanding our programs to include volleyball, soccer and kick ball for the summer.
Please refer to the schedule below for more information about how to register.
In addition to these programs we are scheduling two movie nights at the field.
Hope to see both new friends and our present Miracle League friends at these events.

SOCCER, KICKBALL VOLLEYBALL... EQUALS LOTS OF FUN!

Looking for something new to do?
Well you've come to the right place! This summer the Miracle League of Westchester will be bringing you an opportunity to participate in different sporting activities at the Field of Dreams!
Starting on July 12 and going through August 11 we will be holding evening sessions of volleyball, soccer and kickball at the field. The schedule will be as follows:

Tuesdays:      5:30-6:30 Kickball for wheelchair participants.
                    6:30 -7:30 Ambulatory participants.

Wednesdays: 5:30-6:30 Volleyball for wheelchair participants. 
                    6::30-7:30 Ambulatory participants.

Thursdays:      5:30-6:30 Soccer for Wheelchair participants.
                     6:30-7:30 Ambulatory participants. 

We will have enough equipment there to run two programs concurrently for younger and older players.

MOVIE NIGHT JULY 21, 2011
The Miracle League of Westchester in cooperation with the Westchester Department of Parks and Recreation are presenting the first of two outdoor movie nights at the Field of Dreams located in Ridge Road Park, Hartsdale, NY. 
Following on the heels of last years successful movie night the League will be presenting 
 
 "Happy Feet"
 
This event is Free!
There will be soda and ice cream for purchase in addition to free popcorn for everyone.
People of all ages and abilities are welcome at this event!
SO BRING YOUR BLANKETS, CHAIRS AND, MOST IMPORTANTLY , YOUR HAPPY FEET AND JOIN US FOR AN EVENING OF GREAT ENTERTAINMENT.
